Our October speaker is Morrisville Police Chief Patrice Andrews. She was one of four police chiefs that made a brief appearance wearing their dress blues on the NBC Today Show that aired September 26, 2017.

NBC's Megyn Kelly hosted four of N.C.'s six African-American women police chief's on her new show Tuesday, including Durham Police Chief C.J. Davis, Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown, Morrisville Police Chief Patrice Andrews and Fayetteville Police Chief Gina Hawkins. See News and Observer News Report.

ABOUT Patrice Andrews. . .

She joined the Morrisville Police Department on June 6, 2016. Prior to being appointed as the Chief of Police in the Town of Morrisville, Andrews was the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division with the Durham Police Department. During her 20-year law enforcement career, Andrews has held positions in Uniform Patrol, Criminal Investigation Division, Special Operations Division, Warrant Squad, Office of the Chief of Police, and the High Enforcement Abatement Team.

Andrews graduated cum laude with a BS in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University. In addition, she is a graduate of the 263rd session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia as well as a graduate of the West Point Leadership Academy. In August, Andrews was appointed by Governor Pat McCrory to the Governor’s Crime Commission. Most recently, Andrews was appointed to the Governor’s Task Force on Safer Schools.

Chief Andrews is a native of Chapel Hill and currently resides in Cary, NC with her husband, Chris, and four children.
